BAU Süddeutsche Baumaschinen Handels GmbH is a trading and service company in the field of construction machinery, construction equipment and construction accessories. Over 120 employees are available for our customers at seven locations in Germany and Austria. We build on many years of experience and expertise in the areas of rental, sales and service. We only carry well-known brands and manufacturers that impress with quality, performance and cost-effectiveness. Our distinctive service concept ranges from expert advice on technology and financing to fast and reliable maintenance of the construction machinery. Constant innovation and technical progress help us and our customers to remain competitive. The development of new products, services and business models has therefore always been a high priority for us. Shortly after the company was founded, the potential in machine rental was recognized and integrated into the business model. We have been offering electrical construction machines since 2009. Through our own mobile competence centre we provide mobile processing technology as another innovative product segment that offers our customers superior ecological and economic benefits. When designing our internal processes, we rely on lean manufacturing principles and modern cloud computing solutions. Since 2015, BAU has been investing in digital business models and holds stakes in the successful online trading platform BAUSHOP Express GmbH (Munich), as well as QUANTEC Engineering GmbH (Munich), a company which offers telematics systems and IT services for the construction industry.

1991 - Company foundation

Company foundation

In 1991 the foundation stone was laid in Ulm for our company, which continues to operate very successfully today and was established as a "trade and construction machinery rental".
1999 - Kempten branch office

Kempten branch office

In February 1999 the Kempten branch office was opened at Dieselstraße 29 to offer optimal services to our customers from the Allgäu region.
2001 - Kubota representation

Kubota representation

In 2001 we took over the Kubota representation for large parts of Bavaria. For us, this decision was an important step towards successfully selling the world market leader in compact excavators.
2003 - Kramer representation

Kramer representation

In 2003 we were able to conclude a sales agreement with Kramer, one of the most important suppliers of skid-steer loaders with the most extensive range on the German market.
2005 - Doosan representation

Doosan representation

After our customers repeatedly inquired about large machines, we decided to take over the Doosan representation in 2005 to complete our construction machinery portfolio.
2009 - Relocation of Neu-Ulm branch office

Relocation of Neu-Ulm branch office

With our company growing successfully, the Neu-Ulm location was stretched to its limits. As a result, we built a new branch office at Am alten Flugplatz 5.
2010 - Munich branch office

Munich branch office

Thanks to our successful activities in the sale of skid-steer machines and a growing customer base in the Munich area, we opened our Munich branch office in May 2010.
2014 - Ingolstadt branch office

Ingolstadt branch office

In order to offer comprehensive services at all locations and across Bavaria, which includes a complete rental fleet in Bavaria, the Ingolstadt branch was opened in May 2014.
2014 - Terex Finlay Representation

Terex Finlay Representation

Recyclables for a better tomorrow - Mineral recyclables and recycled building materials are becoming increasingly important, as primary raw materials are only available in limited quantities. For this reason we decided to take over the Terex Finlay representation in 2014.
2016 - Zirl branch office (Austria)

Zirl branch office (Austria)

To provide the Vorarlberg and Tyrol regions with first-class rental and Kubota services, we opened the Zirl/Tyrol branch office (near Innsbruck) at Salzstraße 22 in May 2016. The Kubota representation for Austria was taken over in 2016.
2020 - Terex Ecotec Representation

Terex Ecotec Representation

Efficient processing technology for recycling applications - Terex Ecotec offers a comprehensive portfolio of shredders for wood and waste shredding. The innovative machines are designed for efficient production, low operating costs and high maintainability. Not least for these reasons, we have decided to take over the Terex Ecotec representation for Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg.
2021 - Relocation of our Tyrolean branch

Relocation to Telfs (A)

In January 2021 we moved our Tyrolean branch from Zirl to Telfs. Conveniently located, our competent team will be at your disposal there with an improved range of rental, sales and service.
2022 - Relocation of the Kempten branch office

Move to our new building Kempten

At the turn of the year we moved to our new building. With a spacious, progressive workshop and a modern administration building, we are now available to you a few houses away at Dieselstraße 49. We are looking forward to your visit!
